I had blood work drawn to check my thyroid level, with the results being a little high, above normal range. I have been diagnosed off and on with hyper-thryroidism and hypo-thyroidism. At only one time, for a very brief time, was I prescribed Synthroid. But--I became pregnant, and when tested, my 'levels' were found to be normal and Synthroid was no longer prescribed.
